My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES ARIES INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!

UPDATE FROM FOSTER:
He loves structure and needs his training reinforced daily. He needs lots of playtime and exercise too. He is the undisputed tug-o-war champion in our house. Aries is really strong and really smart and super alert. Nothing gets past him. His favorite treat is sweet potatoes. He loves hugs and belly rubs. He is most proud of his ability to "shake." He is an outdoorsy type and would be happiest if he could eat grass and stick his nose in the mud and then come inside and lick your toes and snuggle your feet on the couch. He is "the woodsy type with an interest in the culinary arts. Seriously, let me in your refrigerator." He will let you know when he needs to go outside by sniffing. He is always on window duty, scoping out the grounds. He will chase anything that runs from him. He likes to watch National Geographic and nature shows. He may even get up out of his seat for bison or elk. He needs a person he can really bond with who will give him lots of structure/training and praise and a sense of stability and adventure.

Aries is an approx. 5-6 month old pup, he still has a few baby teeth but at 35lbs. this little fella is going to be a nice sized shepherd husky mix. He is very sweet but all puppy and full of himself.
He is housebroken and crate trained, even though he doesn't like being crated) and is doing extremely well. He plays a bit too rough with small dogs.
Aries has the most mesmerizing eyes, they are green in the middle with brown on the outside. He is a fast learner and in less than 5 min. and with no treats at first he mastered the 'sit' command. He is eager to learn and he is engaging and happy and loving. He is striking to look at and a real headturner. Aries has many doggie manners to learn and a puppy is a lifetime commitment that will require obedience and proper socialization to make him be a wonderful and well rounded dog.

If you would like to apply to the rescue for Aries, please fill out an application, Aries can't wait to join his new family.
