I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Meaty is a 3-4 year old Pocket Pit Bull Terrier available for adoption in Las Vegas. Meaty was rescued 3 years ago after suffering from demodex mange, not being vaccinated and chemical burns that caused chucks of skin to peel off. It took 2 years to Meaty's skin to get back to normal. He has a beautiful coat with hardly an scars. Meaty is wonderful with people once he gets to know them, he can be a little stand-offish with new men (do to his abuse history), but once he gets to know someone he is absolutely charming! He loves kids of all ages and is awesome with them! The children in my apartment complex adore him and I can't walk by without them running up to hug and pat him- he absolutely loves it! Meaty is a very energetic boy and ideally needs a home with an active lifestyle. He is very well mannered in the home, non-destructive, potty trained, and not a big barker. He loves to go on car rides, long walks, chasing balls, and cuddling! If you'd like to meet Meaty please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, message me on FB, or give me a call at 702-788-5961. A home check and references are required, and I am willing to travel for the "perfect" home (to neighboring states of Nevada)!

Rescue Group Info...
Adopt A Rescue Pet has grown to be one of Nevada's largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter. Adopt A Rescue Pet receives no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public. We always need volunteers!
Adoptions are ONLY held on the weekends at a specific store location listed in the dog's story.
Please read all information regarding the dog in question before calling. Not all dogs have the cell phone listed below as a contact. Please contact the person responsible for that specific dog listed in that dog's story.
The 615-424-7090 is the personal cell of a volunteer that can answer questions regarding the dogs listed for adoption. She can be reached NOON-11pm. You can also send text messages or email her at email@example.com.
Please read the FULL story of each dog. It will tell you who to contact and which location that dog is being adopted from each weekend. You MUST have a collar that fits the dog & leash before you will be allowed to take a dog home with you. All puppies should have a brand new collar & leash for health reasons.
Each animal has an adoption fee. The fees pay the dog's vet bills. We require everyone to fill out a 4 page questionaire/requirements to help us determine if this is the best fit for the dog and its potential human family. If you rent, please bring your rental agreement stating that you are allowed to have a dog and what the requirements and restrictions are for your home, apartment or condo property.
Adopt A Rescue Pet is run solely by volunteers. We will run your call or email as quickly as possible.
Please read the dog's information and contact the person listed as the contact for that specific dog. Not all of our dogs have the same contact information and some breeds require pre-approval.
