My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cole is an adorable Schipperke/Chow mix, 4 years old. He looks big in his picture, but he only weighs 20 pounds.

Cole was adopted from a Shelter in January. According to his owners, he is an absolute sweetheart. He is loving, affectionate, good with children and well behaved.

Cole is currently living in an apartment. He is fed twice a day (morning and night). He is alone generally from 7:30-4:00 while his owner works. During this time he holds his "potty" until his owner returns later in the day. He is taken out twice a day, and according to the owner, he doesn't have accidents in the house.

Cole does however have separation anxiety. Since he was rescued from the Shelter, it is hard to know what his past experiences are. He has model behavior until he is left alone for an extensive period of time. During his alone time he barks and cries relentlessly.

The owner's landlord has threatened to evict her due to Cole's behavior which has resulted in neighbors complaining.

Cole needs a home where he won't be left alone too terribly long. Perhaps a retired couple, someone who works from home, or isn't away for extended periods of time.

Cole is healthy, neutered, and up to date on all of his shots.

The owner does not want to return the dog to the Shelter and is hoping that someone will come forth to adopt him/foster him before she is served with eviction papers.
