Jacob's Story...
Jacob needs a real home, just look at that soulful face! His owner passed away so he is temporarily residing at the Chabot Veterinary Clinic in Hayward. He is safe, but this is not an ideal situation for him.

Jacob is 2 ½ years old and a sturdy 25 lbs., a small/medium-sized little guy. His breed mix is a guess; besides Corgi, other possibilities include Chihuahua and Shiba Inu. Somewhat shy at first meeting, Jacob warms up to you quickly. A well-mannered little gentleman, he is house-trained, walks nicely on a leash and happily rides in a car. The perfect companion!

Jacob seems fine around older kids (age 10 and up), but we are unsure about younger ones. He is good with other smaller-sized dogs but intimidated by the larger ones. Jacob is already neutered and is fully vaccinated. He’s ready and waiting for you.

Note: This is a courtesy listing for someone trying to re-home an animal. If you would like further information about Jacob, feel free to contact Beth or Jennifer at (510) 538-2330 or Jennifer at (510) 303-1216.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Castro Valley Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
