Seminole's Story...
Seminole is a very handsome young Plott Hound mix. He is super loving
with adults and does wonderfully with older children. His foster mom
doesn't have youngsters so isn't sure how he would act around them.

Seminole also gets along beautifully with other dogs, and with cats. He
is housebroken and crate trained. He is protective of his food, probably
due to being malnourished before he was rescued. He does need to be
watched during feed time if fed with other dogs, or fed separately.

His foster mom said that he wants to be near his people during thunder
storms, and that he was also afraid of gun shots from hunting near her home.

This handsome, loving fellow is ready for his forever home! His adoption
fee of $115 includes vaccines, deworming, microchip, treatment for
heartworm, and starting on heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Seminole, a Schertz Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Schertz, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Schertz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schertz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schertz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schertz paves the way for another one to be saved.
