Lenny's Story...
Meet Lenny, an adorable 3 month old male Catahoula/Hound mix pup. Lenny's mother was found by a good samaritan, wandering alone and pregnant in South Carolina. Luckily for her, she had found a warm, safe place to have her pups, all ten of them! We rescued the family, and now the pups, including Lenny are healthy and ready to find forever homes. Lenny is currently in a foster home, and is nearly housebroken. He loves all people and is great with other dogs. Lenny has a very easy-going personality, and is very adaptable. He is playful, but not hyper, and is learning to have wonderful manners. If interested in Lenny, please email Adoptions@GimmeShelterAnimalRescue.org!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lenny, a Sagaponack Catahoula Leopard Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
