Zoey's Story...
Zoey’s adoption fee is $375.

Hi my name is Zoey, and I am a 2 year old Shih Tzu mix. I am spayed and micro chipped and up to date with all my vaccines. I weigh about 11 1/2 lbs, and I am in great shape. I am looking for a new family, but not in an apartment or condo, as I am a bit of a barker when someone goes by or sometimes I bark at cars, bikes or anything that looks exciting. I like to let them know I am here, and am protecting my turf. I will also watch out the windows and keep watch too. I would like a nice yard and promise to keep control of any squirrels who may try to mess with our gardens. I love to run and chase my foster pals, I can run really fast and love to make them chase me in circles until they are all dizzy. I would like to go for nice walks to get know everyone in my neighbourhood. I do bark when someone comes to the door, but I will settle when I get to know they are friendly. I am not aggressive, just nosy my foster mom says. I love snuggles and hanging out with my humans, I like to play with toys, and chase them if you are a good thrower. If you have room for a new gorgeous creature in your life and have the time for a very long commitment, drop me a line

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Toronto Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
