My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet our new girl Stella. Stella was brought back to us by a family who adopted her 3 years ago as a puppy and could no longer keep her. She is a sweet, smart girl with good energy but is very protective if someone just walks in the house. She sleeps well through the night without a crate, doesn’t chew or destroy anything other than her toys and plays well with the 2 male shepherds here. She LOVES to go for her walks and has a wonderful appetite. We are teaching her to calm down when she is given a treat as she can grab things out of your hand. She has a large personality but is only about 50 pounds and is all muscle. She has gotten along well with everyone including my 3 year old godson. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and is HW negative. She has not been cat tested yet. Stella would do well as an only dog or with other dogs but needs some space to run and a fairly active family. She loves to chase balls but also enjoys quiet time when she is tired. She will bark when she sees someone walking down the street and if someone comes to the door she lets them know she is inside! Please let us know if Stella looks like a good match for your family!

Age: 3-4 yrs. old, 50 lbs.
Gender: Female
Weight: Assessing
Mix/Purebred: Possibly Purebred
Housetrained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes
Heartworm Negative/Positive: Negative
Spayed/Neutered: Spayed
Microchipped: Yes
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown
Good with children: Good with older children because of her energy level

Stella is a very energetic girl, and she would do well with an active family with older children. She can play fetch ALL DAY LONG! She loves to go for walks, and she's doing very well walking on a leash. She is food driven, which makes her easy to train. She also loves to ride in the car. She is a very brave and courageous. If your family is looking for a young dog, but want to skip the house-training and crate training- then Stella may be just what you need! She has never had an accident inside the house/or her crate.
