Hooper is looking for active and fun breed experienced home, he's not hyper but needs daily exercise a walk a day maybe two lots of snuggle time, car rides too, a game of fetch and he will be a happy camper
of course he could be trained to do agility or dock jumping since he loves the water and does chase the ball or toy


looking for adult home or if kids over 12 yrs and respectful to animals, he loves everyone and in a breed experienced home the age of child could be younger but no one under 8 yrs he's a Heeler so does do some Heeler things


He would make a great buddy to someone that wants to take him everywhere like hiking in nature going places more so in a country setting or outskirts of town than in a city but he has no problems visiting the city once in a while either, not skittish, not afraid, outgoing and friendly

Hooper is a handsome 36 pound tri colored boy, about 2.5 yrs old,super super loving, fun not hyper he would like a fenced yard or fenced acerage to romp in and a active fun human as best buddy he can hang with
He's not an outside dog but a family member

Loves just hanging with his humans and be loved and petted a lot but is far from a couch potato

If you know the breed you know they need also mental stimulation on a daily basis

Hooper is a super love sponge and with his charm will easily wrap you around his paws so he needs a good leader in his human

Hooper has unique eyes, each eye is partially blue and brown a one of a kind and he makes lots of eye contact

he is fully house trained not crate trained and does not need a crate
Loves attention and affection from his humans more than anything else
Walks great on a leash
Loves to run, loves trails in nature and loves the water anytime of the yr
LOVES to lie by you and get belly rubs or better yet on your lap

Knows basic commands and is very eager to please and loves to keep learning as he is real smart cookie

Hooper is a wonderful super super loving dog he just wants lots of love and be part of the family
he does not need another dog to play with he wants all the attention from his people but would do fine with a similar breed and a female that likes to play sort of rough as the breeds do

He has been around other dogs without problems but of course he's not a dog park type dog and prefers being with his humans getting loved and petted instead



I take him on trail hikes and he loves it,visiting the waterholes on the SAC river to cool off any time of the yr

He's not a skittish or shy dog as the breed can be nor timid nor scared he's well adjusted with people, we have not had him with little kids and this breed usually is not best with small kids unless raised with them but he loved the 13 yr old girl that stayed over a month at fosters

He can easily wrap you around his paw with his charm

he already knows I don't let him get away with anything that's why he's so well behaved with me but if you are not a leader he surely will take over (as most dogs would), he responds very well to a good leader and loves it

Loves loves car rides I take him out he's in back seat otherwise he will try to be in your lap but we are working on the passenger seat riding:) but has lately been great in passenger seat too without getting into your lap, he no longer tries to get out of the car door when you open it, a little training goes a very long way with him


He's great on leash I use a pull harness for him and all dogs so they are always under my control but he does not need one

His coat is not harsh like a Heeler more that of the Border Collie or Aussie and actually feels sort of soft

Beautiful markings, his coat is at least an inch or longer but lies mainly flat but his feathered tail as you can see in the many pictures
his undercoat is tan/brown

I always have people say what a handsome boy he is when I walk him

Visited Petco many times and loved it after the first time there

We went to an outside employee lunch he loved that as well as the hamburger he got he ate and lied next to me loved getting petted by a few people

He always gets a hamburger patty when he's out with me he loves that and it's good meat for him

He went inside different stores and loves that and the attention people give him I think with the right training he could actually become a therapy dog since he adores all people
We are only looking to place him with a stable super loving family that will not just love him but reinforce his training so he will stay a well behaved dog as he is when he's with me as I am the alpha leader and he knows it and likes it

Hooper loves playing fetch but has yet to learn to let go of the toy and give it up but we will be working on that giving a treat in exchange for the toy always works

This boy has been waiting for the right forever super loving family and ready to bond and share the rest of his life with you
Hooper is a very special boy just so full of love, could make a great therapy dog with the right training going to Hospitals visiting adults or nursing homes he would just love that attention
