Darwin's Story...
Darwin is a 2 yr. old purebred English Pointer and was found as a stray, half starved and in desperate need of someone to care for him. A kind soul came to his rescue and gave him food, shelter, and lots of tender loving care. He is now ready for his very own forever home. Darwin loves nothing more than running like the wind (in a large, secure space) and then collapsing on the laps of his people. He tries very hard to please and shows evidence of some basic obedience training. He is a house pet and is well house trained. Darwin is very inquisitive, alert to his surroundings, playful, and affectionate. He is good with other dogs, enjoys older children, LOVES people, but does not need to be around cats since he thinks they are his prey! His needs are simple… nutritious food, fresh water, a healthy/safe environment, and someone to love him as much as he will love them. All pets come with up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. Adults are also sterilized and heartworm tested prior to placement. For more information/application visit our website at . TRANSPORTATION TO THE NORTHEAST IS AVAILABLE

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darwin, a Sussex English Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Pointer for sale in Sussex, or seeking a English Pointer dog from a breeder in Sussex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sussex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sussex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Pointer breeders who help with English Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sussex paves the way for another one to be saved.
