Stormy's Story...
It was a dark and stormy night and we were expecting a new arrival at the shelter but the first snowstorm of the season interfered with our plans… Check-in had to be delayed for a day but neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night could keep this weathergirl away for long… The snow may have all melted but Stormy is still here with us and she is wearing her wonderfully thick Maine Coon coat in preparation for a hasty departure to her new forever home. If you have been waiting for the purrfect storm then the wait is over!! Stormy has been spayed, combo tested negative, and is up to date with her regular shots. If you are interested in meeting Stormy or other cats/kittens in our care waiting for a home, please call 508-695-4707 (leave a message if need be!). Paws of Plainville, Inc. is dedicated to helping the homeless cats in the local area. We are an all volunteer, nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to P.O. Box 2236, Plainville, MA 02762. For more information, please visit us at www.pawsofplainville.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stormy, a Plainville Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Plainville, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Plainville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainville paves the way for another one to be saved.
