About Our Shelter...
The Warren County Humane Society is run by an elected volunteer board and is not affiliated with any government agency. Our main source of income is from contributions and fund raisers. Anyone with questions on our polices, or how they are administered may call the shelter during normal operating hours. We require a 24 to 48 hour waiting period before adoptions are finalized. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoptions are complete.

Our Mission and Purpose:

To Adopt animals into responsible homes and vigorously promote the importance of spaying/neutering all pets. To provide shelter and kindness to homeless and abused animals. To foster humane education and cruelty programs, hoping for a kinder environment in which to live. We are a private non-profit Humane Society serving Warren County's animals. We promise a second chance to the homeless animals in need of our service.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fern, a Warren Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Warren, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
