Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Matthew is a very gentle and shy, two to three-year-old, 50-pound, male, fawn pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Matthew had been chained in a yard in Georgia until his rescue. So, everything in the world is new to him. Loud noises scare him, but he loves hanging out on a dog bed to chew his bones. He also enjoys other dogs – especially females, and his favorite playmate is his foster sister Pixie. He has not yet been cat-tested. Matthew is very submissive and would probably enjoy a quieter home with a patient dog-lover willing to work through his shyness. He’d be best with someone willing to continue his training. He is crate-trained and doing well with his housebreaking. Matthew is healthy, de-wormed, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. If you are interested in temporarily fostering or permanently adopting Matthew, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net to get a foster or adoption application emailed to you. His adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. He is being fostered in Chicago, Illinois.
