My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trixie was turned into Oz Animal Rescue by her owners.

Trixie is approximately 1 years old, spayed, and up to date on all her shots. She weighs approximately 15 pounds.

Her owners said she was being abused, corrected and attacked by their other dog, Lady. They purchased Trixie from a Breeder when she was 8 weeks old, as a companion for Lady, but the two never got along. During the last 8 months they sent both dogs to behavior classes, hoping they would learn to get along. A loving relationship was never formed.

Also, during this time, the family had a new baby, and one of their cats had a litter of kittens. Due to a house full of baby kittens, Trixie became an out door dog.

The owner struggled with "submissive" issues during their time with Trixie. She said that Trixie was a perfect dog...Loving, Gentle, Well-behaved, Affectionate, Good with Kids, Etc. However, whenever they would leave and return, upon their return, Trixie would "submissive" pee when she saw them. She is house-trained, according to the owners, except upon their return.

Trixie came to us today, August 7th. She was immediately introduced to 4 other dogs without any issues. The owner stated that she would also urinate when she would meet other dogs on the street. Trixie did not display any of that behavior today.

Trixie is extremely sweet and gentle. Clearly she wants a family, especially a human, to love her. She is adjusting quite nicely in a short amount of time.

It's a tad early to state that she is absolutely house-trained, but stay tuned for updates! Also, stay tuned for updates on her "submissive pee" issues.
