Coco's Info...

Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) Sex: Female
Coco's Story...
Coco is a mellow and affectionate, 13yo senior mixed breed girl - medium sized, perhaps a German Shepherd or Austrailian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix. She was adopted from the Dallas SPCA as a 9 week old baby, and has been in only one home her whole life, but needs a new home now because her family felt they could not provide for her needs adequately when their new baby came. She will do best in a home without young children. She gets along with other dogs, but has never been around cats. Coco is in perfect health and knows some basic commands - sit, stay, down and come. Currently, she is in a temporary foster home (with one other resident dog) waiting for her forever person/family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Austin Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Austin, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
