Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Low to Moderate Energy, Good With Other Animals, Good with Children
Greetings! My name is General. I am a 10 year old male American Eskimo. I found myself in a shelter in the fall of last year because my owner surrendered me. Her husband had passed and she could no longer take care of me. She had noticed that I was not seeing that well, but she did not know I had diabetes! Luckily the shelter figured it out and got me started on insulin. The shelter realized that I needed to be with a rescue that could address my medical needs and transferred me to A Soft Place to Land. My blood glucose is back within normal range and my diabetes is controlled through diet and insulin. I can see some motion and contrast, but I cannot see very well at all. But you know what, it does not bother me one bit! I am one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet and I love everyone! My dream home would have another dog to play with (but I would not mind being an only dog), I would get to go on daily walks or trips to the park to sniff around and plenty of snuggling! I am neutered, micro chipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heart worm negative. My adoption fee is $75. Please visit www.softplacetoland.org to fill out our online application.
