Precious's Story...
Hi my name is Precious and I really am! Aren't I pretty in pink? I am a very young 7 years old and I weigh almost 11lbs. I am a sweet and well behaved little girl looking for a new home. I have some trouble seeing but it does not slow me down one bit, I am curious and love to explore, you would just need to guide me a little when we are somewhere new :) I love to go for walks and ride well in the car. I love getting lots of pets and kisses and I am very, very good with other dogs, my foster Mom says there is not a mean bone in my little body :) Because of my sight issues, I am looking for a home with children over 7. I will go to the beauty parlor soon and you will see that I am even more beautiful. If you would like to meet me (and I am sure you would) please email SDHH_Rescue@yahoo.com. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for visiting me. Love, Precious.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Wilmington Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
