Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3/29/13 Cleo is still in search of her perfect family but in the meantime we are working on roll over and a world record in catching cheese balls. She's doing much better with her crate (although we are using a super duper reinforced one). She has her routine down and is behaving herself quite nicely during crate time. She walks nicely on a leash and has very good home manners. She will steal the other dog's food if they let her so she has to be watched with an eagle eye (however she will back off if the other dog says no). She just really loves to be by your side and is very eager to please. If you are interested or have any questions about her, please contact us and we'll be happy to tell you more!
1-24-13: Cleo is still patiently waiting for her forever family to find her. She has a good grasp of basic commands and walks well on a leash. Cleo is a calm, sweet dog and will do your bidding for a treat. She's not fond of the crate but stays in one during the work day. She'll do best in a home that will require minimal use of a crate. Her favorite toys are kongs and nylabones. Cleo will be fine as an only dog or with a fellow animal companion. Are you looking for a good running partner and snuggle buddy? Then Cleo is your girl!!
12-10-12: over the weekend our Cleo participated in the Frosty Paws 5K which benefits our rescue. As a foster dog, she was available as a partner for those who didn't have a dog to run with. Cleo's running partner was very happy she was picked to run with Cleo as they came in first in the overall female category. Our little girl who came to us with a broken leg that healed wrong all those years ago doesn't let it slow her down as evidenced by her first place finish! Do you have room in your home for a girl that doesn't let hardships slow her down?
9-20-12 Cleo, our little blue eyed beauty, has settled into her foster home quickly but is still looking to move into her forever home. Cleo is a great girl and she gets along well with other dogs, both large and small. She loves to play tug but once she wins, she wants to keep the toy forever. We are working on her ability to "share". She knows simple hand commands such as sit, down, shake, and she goes into her crate on command. Cleo is a good car rider and enjoys long walks around the neighborhood. Cleo doesn't bark outside but she will bark in her crate at night. If she sleeps outside the crate, she sleeps through the night. Cleo's paw that was previously injured does not slow her down or cause her any problems. She would do well in a home with other dogs or as an only dog.
8-9-2012 Welcome Cloe back, returned to BSRO due to family issues. She is a sweet girl ready for a forever home.
If interested in Cleo, please visit www.midwestboxerrescues.com and read the adoption requirements and fill out an adoption application. Home visits, a fenced yard and at least one obedience class is required. Placements will be done in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska only
