Kif's Story...
Meet Kif one of the Futurama kitties! Kif and his siblings are simply out of this world! Someone left these adorable little kitties on the FFL doorstep with a note saying they could no longer care for them. Kittens typically are pretty high maintenance and require a lot of attention, but these sweeties are probably the most well behaved kittens ever at FFL. They are a quiet bunch and are all very “chill”, which should make them great lounge kitties. When they are not chilling out they all love a good play session as much as the next kitty. Kif and his siblings love to keep up a good appearance and can be found busily grooming themselves in anticipation of their new owner. They want to make sure they are in perfect condition when they are brought into their forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kif, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
