Gavin's Story...
If you are looking for your new BFF, then I'd like to introduce to Gavin. He is the most loving, sweetest cat I have seen in a very long time. All he wants is to be with you, near you, petted by you and be your new BFF. He is a truly great cat and there are no negatives about him. None. He just GREAT!!

He's been tested for feline aids/leukemia and was neg/neg for both. He's been neutered, had his distemper shot and rabies shots, been wormed and has no fleas or ear mites. He is completely vetted and had copy medical records will accompany him on adoption day. So if you'd like a young boy, he's under a year old, who would be great with you, your kids, your grandk kids, then please consider Gavin. You won't be sorry!

You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are adopted out with Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to adoption day. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only Royal Canin cat food. We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their adoption. The adoption donation is $150.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a Riverside Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Riverside, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Riverside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Riverside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Riverside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Riverside paves the way for another one to be saved.
