Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emmy was dumped at the shelter along with her canine brother. The shelter told the people there was a strong possibility this was a death sentence as adoptions of seniors does not occur often and almost all rescues already have many, many seniors in their program. The family didn't care. They didn't want the dogs and they didn't care what could happen to them.
We really had no space for any more dogs but one of our fosters couldn't resist saving the pair. Since it hard to get even one senior adopted, we are offering them for adoption individually.
Emmy is a sweet little thing who loves to cuddle with you. She enjoys checking out the yard and taking short walks. She would be perfectly happy to be an only dog or to be with her "brother" Max. The benefit of adopting them both is you would get to watch Emmy read Max the riot act. She gets right up in his face and verbally tells him off. He just acts as if she is not even there. It is quite entertaining.
Emmy happily goes into her crate. She goes bonkers at the thought of getting to go on a walk. She's an all around nice senior dog who wants to be special to someone.
We have had Emmy spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has just had a complete dental.
The tax deductible donation for Emily is $75 The tax deductible donation for adoption both Max and Emmy is also $75 (Buy one, get one free!)
