JONAH is a 7 year-old rust colored dachshund mix. He appears to be mixed with some type of Spaniel. He has been neutered, microchipped, licensed, house-trained, and is current on vaccines. Being part doxie, it will come as no surprise that his favorite thing to do is to be by his person's side. He's a little like velcro! He will even sleep in the bed with you at night, if you allow that. Jonah weighs in at about 18 pounds. Jonah's person is a retired man who can no longer keep him, due to landlord restrictions. Jonah gets along with other dogs (if they are nice to him) and cats. He likes almost every person he has met. Jonah does not like to be messed with when he's eating his food or chewing on his toys/rawhide. For this reason, Jonah should go to a home with children at least 12 years old. We think that Jonah would be happiest living with a retired person or couple. Besides snuggling, Jonah enjoys going for walks and saying hi to his neighbors. His adoption fee is just $50. A home check will be part of the adoption process.
