IDGSR Welcomes Wenda into the safety of the rescue!
UPDATE FROM WENDA'S FOSTER MOM:
Wenda is an absolute sweetheart. She is very loving and is great with children, cats and other dogs. She is excellent on a leash and loves to take walks. She is housetrained and we are working on crate training. We are also working on basic commands and so far she is able to pick everything up pretty quickly. To be so large she is usually very gentle, however, she has lots of energy and needs regular exercise and attention. She loves people and her favorite thing to do is lie by your feet, chewing on her bone, after a long walk. When we initially took her in she was a bit timid with loud noises and new situations, however she has a lot of curiosity and a gentle, calm environment has helped her overcome many of her fears. She will thrive on routine, lots of exercise and lots of love. Wenda is a sweet, loyal companion who can't wait to find her forever home.
Wenda and her sister, Wynne have been with IDGSR for a few weeks now, severe neglect and cruelty cases. Their previous owner did not provide care for these babies whatsoever. They were in terrible condition and we have been working with them to get them stable and help them to understand that there are people out there who will love them and care for them.
Wenda and Wynne are about 1 Yr. old, they are darling girls and as sweet as ever you will find a German Shepherd to be. We feel it would be best to separate them as they tend to distract each other when trying to work with them in training and also to help them reach their full potential.
Either of these two almost identical Twins will make wonderful family members and companions.
Despite their emaciated condition when they came to the rescue, they are the sweetest girls ever and just crave to be held and loved on. They both have so much love to give also and they truly want to bond to a person.
Child friendly and initial cat test went well, they ignored the kitty.
Both girls are fully vetted and spayed.
If you would like to make either one of these girls a part of your family please apply with the rescue.
