Dyson's Story...
Thank you for your interest in Dyson. Dyson was tied to a fence at an apartment complex. He had severe allergies/hair loss, and a large mass on his left side that was cancer and the tumor was removed. The vet could not get all of the cancer so it will eventually return. Dyson is great with dogs, and everyone he has met. He has a fun stubborn side but has learned to listen better with his foster home. Crate trained, walks well on a leash, knows sit, and love tennis balls!! The rescue who is bringing Dyson has the information on Dyson's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dyson, a Old Saybrook American Bulldog/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Great Dane for sale in Old Saybrook, or seeking a American Bulldog/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Old Saybrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Saybrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Saybrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Great Dane breeders who help with American Bulldog/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Saybrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
