Dixie's Story...
Dixie was found on the street matted, dirty and in heat - no collar, tag or microchip. Some good folks took her in, but their dog hated her so they turned her in to us. She is a super sweet girl, and looks a little nekkid now with her shaved coat, but she'll grow out and be the beautiful girl she really is soon.

Dixie is such a good girl, not a barker, loves to go on walks, crate trained and will be spayed before being adopted out. She seems to be great with just about anyone, very friendly and inquisitive.

When her coat grows out it will be silky and will shed very little. She may have a little dander, but unless someone is severly allergic her breed causes low reactions.

We'll post pics of her new do soon! She needs a home for the holidays? Could she be right for you??

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Vista Havanese/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese/Bichon Frise for sale in Vista, or seeking a Havanese/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Havanese/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
