Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zeus is a new arrival at the kennel and is a tall brindle boy, 3 years old with a short race career. He seems wise beyond his years and is very laid back and reserved. His small dog status is unknown. He will be available soon. Zeus is not cat tolerant.
I guess my owners were into Greek mythology. They called me Zeus. I’m a laid-back dude, reserved, and satisfied to sit back and be entertained by the antics of my species, and yours! I guess I’ve been around life’s track more than once because I don’t feel the need to get involved in minutia. However, that does not include cuddles, kisses, plush doggie beds, squeaky toys, and long walks in the cool hours of the day with a compatible human. Those things I love and I’m definitely into! I’m looking for an old soul of the human variety that can distinguish quality from quantity, and class from glitz. Yes, I know I sound like a fur snob, and perhaps I am, but I’m such a great dog, you’ll appreciate my discriminating tastes once I get my paws on your couch!
FOSTER UPDATE:
Zeus is a beautiful brindle who doesn’t take himself seriously. Like most of his kind he has never met a stranger. He is a big dog but very graceful in his movements. He gets along well with my other two greyhounds and hangs with them for many hours both inside and out. He is very content to be by my side most of the time and frequently just comes up to me to check on how I feel. He is very majestic in his moves about the house and knows he is loved. Zeus us not shy and very much a leaner. He loves to be near people and to cuddle and loves toys..
He is very non aggressive but does try to sneak the other hounds food when I am not looking . He does not persist however and settles easily with what I feed him. Zeus was housebroken in 3 days. He still needs a little work on leash training and likes short walks. He has adjusted to the vacuum and other noises as part of house living.
