Fran is a delightful two year old beagle mix who was surrendered to the shelter because her family was expecting a new baby, and they didn't think they could manage caring for both.
Frannie is wonderful! Of course she was a bit scared at first in her new foster home, but now she feels right at home and loves the attention of people. She enjoys playing with other dogs but would probably prefer to be your one and only. She is bright and well-trained, and will sit on command for any type of treat she is offered. She does not have the typical beagle bark, and we have yet to hear her howl, but she will definitely let you know when someone is at the door. Frannie loves to play with toys, tennis balls and she will engage you in a game of tug-of-war for hours. She is active but not high-energy.
Fran is about 40 pounds, up to date on all her shots, completely housebroken, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is also crate trained, but she would probably be fine given free access to the house. She would make a great family dog and would love to be in a new, forever home for Christmas!
