River's Story...
River is a nearly 3 year old boy white with black patches. He is retired from a short race career and is new to our kennel. His small dog and cat status is unknown. River is now in foster.

’m known as River. I’ve traveled the streams of the racing industry without question, overcame the white water rapids without injury, and finally emerged into a tranquil body of water where I’m feeling safe and secure as the days fly by. I’m usually described as “striking” and I heard that a reputable modeling agency wanted to use me in a beer commercial. I was all for it until I heard it was for a European beer. I was born in the U.S.A., raced in the U.S.A., and I will only share my striking appearance in a commercial for an American beer. Fired Up and Ready to Go! U.S.A.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

River, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
