Chester's Story...
Chester is a Chiweenie, about 6 months old, up to date on shots, neutered. He weighs about 4 lbs. now, should be about 6 when full grown. He is a typical lively, happy puppy who loves to play with other dogs. He also loves to cuddle with his humans. He is working on potty training. Chester was abandoned by his owner who was sent to jail. A kind couple took him but were unable to keep him due to their cat's anti-dog attitude. Chester's fee is $250. He is being fostered in Spanaway. Please contact Marlene at chiwowwow@yahoo.com or digsdogs@frontier.com if interested in Chester.

We do not do same day adoptions unless you are pre-approved. Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. We do many special events during the year, so check our calendar on our website: www.chihuahuarescueandreferrals.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Seattle Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
