My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ms. Midge is a little Yorkie girl who was recently released from a breeder. She is just learning to live in a home, and become a pet. Midge is still shy, wary and cautious, and just beginning to learn to trust humans. She loves to play with other dogs, and needs an adoptive home that has a fur companion for her. Midge is working on house training, and is crate trained. We will post updates on her progress as she continues to learn new skills. Midge will need a patient and committed adopter to train her and help her complete her transition to her new life. A quiet home with adults will likely be the best match. Are you ready to help Midge get the home she deserves?

Midge weighs 8 lbs, is light tricolor, and 3 years young. She is being fostered by Barb and family in Stow OH area. Midge's adoption fee is $350 and it includes a written veterinary exam, Neuter or Spay and dental. In addition a prepaid Microchip registration. PLUS an annual booster shot, rabies shot and tag, heartworm test and passed, fecal and preventative deworming. IN ADDITION if our vet deems it necessary they will have had a DENTAL, possible extractions and pain and antibotic meds after surgeries. You also receive a trial limited 30 day pet insurance from a third party. In season our rescues have had flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

We send you home with a copy of all the vet work, dog training booklet, adoption paperwork, and tips. Our Foster families notes explaining our rescue dogs schedule, habits, socialization skills.

WE DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS YOU MUST DRIVE TO THE FOSTER HOME TO MEET THE DOG AND BOND TO ADOPT. You must fill out our on line application to schedule a meet and great with the foster dog. We cannot hold more than 2 weeks from notifying you approved to complete the adoption or we require a non refundable deposit to hold the dog a short time longer. We do not require a fenced yard on all of our dogs, it is on a as needed basis. HOWEVER if you don't have a fenced yard we do require you to purchase an exercise pen (>$60 on internet) so that the dog can be safe when outside; SMALL DOGS CAN NOT BE TIED OUT.

Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them, potty pad train them and use exercise pens for outside and work on potty skills. Dogs learn quickly and are pretty far along. But expect some accidents at lst until they know the routine at your place.

Our dogs are fostered in private homes in OH and MI and PA. We are not a shelter you will need an approved application and an appointment to meet our rescue dogs.

Please visit our website www.ronsrescuedrascals.org to learn more about our adoption procedures and policies, submit an adoption application, meet our volunteers and benefit from the 8+ years of rescue experience of our all-volunteer, non-profit rescue.
