Justin - Great with dogs!'s Story...
Hi, I’m Justin. I am a one year old, neutered male, lab and shepherd mix. I was turned in to the Devore shelter with my sister & BFF Jessica last October. We were just 6 month old babies and were minutes away from losing our lives, until Labs and Friends.Org saved the day. Jessica has been adopted and now I am looking for my forever home. I LOVE other dogs and would probably do best in a home with at least one other playful dog. I am currently being fostered with four other dogs of all different ages, sizes & gender. I also live with cats who I really want to be friends with. If there is anything I love more than other dogs it would have to be people. I LOVE people, kids, adults it doesn’t matter, as long as they have hands to pet me with they are ok with me. I have a lot of energy since I am a young dog, so I will need an owner who would be willing to spend some time using positive reinforcement to teach me some more manners. I am a quick student because I love treats and I am very eager to please. I already know “sit” & “down”. I love trips to the park and going for walks. I do pull on the leash so I will need some work on that. I love getting attention and I am learning to sit before receiving any, but it is hard since I love everyone so much and just want to give kisses. I do well in the car and I am great about getting in my crate when I have to be left alone. Just give me a Kong or a bone & I am set. I am really just the sweetest boy. Are you looking for your best friend because I just might be your boy. I am even housebroken & microchipped!

If you are interested in applying for me, please email my rescue at info@labsandfriends.org for an application for me or any other dog, or you can go to www.labsandfriends.org and download it and either email it in or fax it to 818-351-8148 no cover sheet needed. Thank you for rescuing!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Justin - Great with dogs!, a Burbank Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Burbank, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Burbank.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burbank already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burbank breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burbank paves the way for another one to be saved.
