Dorothy's Story...
Dorothy is a cutie bug black terrier girl. She is three years old and is about 15lbs. Her adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, and up to date on vaccines including rabies. She is good with other dogs and even though she is a terrier, she does not seem too interested in cats. We are not sure how she is with children. If you would like Dorothy to be a part of your household, then please contact St. Martin’s Animal Rescue at stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com or 503-857-5047.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy, a Sheridan Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Sheridan, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Sheridan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheridan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheridan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheridan paves the way for another one to be saved.
