Pinto's Story...
Pinto, Spanish for spotted. An apt name for this freckles pup! Pinto was an owner-surrender to our shelter. His family fell upon hard times and could no longer afford to properly look after their pets. Pinto is a regal yet shy cocker spaniel/springer spaniel mix. He's mild mannered and a bit shy, at least right now in his new undesirable situation as a shelter dog! This little guy has a shaved body left over from his "summer haircut" so we expect his pretty fur to grow back in in all its luxury soon. He needs a family who'll treat him like one of their own. He also needs a round of heartworm medication (provided by Homeless Pets for free). Heartworm is not contagious and Pinto shows no signs of the condition. It's caused by mosquitoes and is common in this part of the U.S. He's an otherwise healthy pup aged around 3 years young. He'd make a great little brother for your human or canine "kids"! Drop by and meet him at 1343 Gresham Rd, Marietta 30062 (Mon-Thurs 8-8, Fri 8-6). Or email adoptions@homelesspets.com for more info. Or fax an application (found at homelesspets.com/adoptions) to 770-971-0100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinto, a Marietta Cocker Spaniel/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
