About Our Rescue Group...
Mewtopia Cat Rescue is a Tennessee non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt community service organization staffed entirely by volunteers. Mewtopia is dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused, abandoned or owner relinquished cats. Mewtopia also works to reduce the population of unwanted cats by facilitating and funding trap/alter/release of
stray/feral cats and by educating the public on responsible animal ownership. Mewtopia is always looking for new dedicated volunteers to help in a variety of ways.
If you would be interested, please contact us at 901-503-9328. You can also help the kitties by making donations of cash, food, litter, cleaning supplies, toys, beds, etc. We and the kitties at Mewtopia greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Mewtopia Cat Rescue is located at 734 Mt. Moriah. Our hours are 3-7 pm Tuesdays, 2-5 pm Wednesdays, 12-4pm Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.. If you would like to visit with any of the kitties outside of these hours or would like more information call 901-503-9328. Mewtopia Cat Rescue also has a small gift shop that has many items for you and your furry friends including hand made cat toys, cat beds, feeding bowls, collectables, jewelry and much, much more. Proceeds from all items sold are used strictly for the support of our adoption center and for the care of our kitties. Mewtopia has over 75 cats/kittens available for adoption. Be sure to come visit us!
Our Adoption Process...
Adoption is a relatively painless process here at Mewtopia Cat Rescue. We make every effort possible to correctly match pet with owner so as not to subject the animal to further rejection or abandonment. Adoption fees start at $100. Prospective adopters are asked to complete an Adoption Application and when adopting, must sign an Adoption Agreement, which requires that the pet
be returned to Mewtopia Cat Rescue if there are any problems (as opposed to being passed to another owner or placed in another shelter.) All applicants must interview with a Mewtopia adoption counselor.

What your adoption fee pays for: testing for FIV/Felv, spay/neuter, FVRCP/C first round vaccination, worming, flea treatment, ear cleaning and ear mite treatment, if necessary, and nail trim. Your adoption fee also helps cover hidden costs such as food, litter, cleaning supplies, rent and medical treament for those kitties rescued that are injured or ill. So remember your one-time donation at the time of adoption is a gift that keeps on giving every time a kitty is rescued or spayed or neutered. Thanks!!

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Memphis Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Memphis, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Memphis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Memphis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Memphis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Memphis paves the way for another one to be saved.
