Spot's Info...
| Breed: | Turkish Van | Color: | White (Mostly) | Age: | Young |
| Sex: | Male | Hair: | Medium |
To put it simply, Spot is adorable. With a perfectly rounded black spot on either side of his body, it's not hard to figure out how he got his name! To top off the cuteness, he has a white vertical stripe perfectly centered between his ears that splits the top of his head in half!
As one would expect of a kitty his age, Spot loves to play! He loves to bat toy mice and chase balls of all types across the room. Spot lets nothing get in his way when it comes to wand toys...he'll enthusiastically jump, climb kitty condos, and run around the room with the goal of capturing his prey! He also enjoys playing with unconventional cat toys like pens.
As much as Spot loves playing, he loves to snuggle with people...in fact, if you call out to him while he is playing, he's been known to break away and come running over to you for some petting! Spot loves attention from his people, gently head butting your head with affection and loudly purring with gratitude while being pet. He'll really crank that purr motor to high if he's receiving head and ear rubs! Spot is very receptive to conversing with his people and will initiate the conversation if he has something interesting to share.
Some of Spot's other interests include playing with other friendly kitties (including his brother Spencer), going to town on his horizontal cardboard scratcher, and hanging out in a comfy bed where somehow he manages to look even cuter than normal, if that is even possible! Spot is an extremely handsome dude; sweet, playful, and capable of making anyone putty in his paws! This little guy is a true treasure and will do great in just about any type of home!
Rescue Group Info...
RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is on the "kill lists." We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 9,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end the killing of the orphaned dogs and cats. Please consider adopting, volunteering or donating.
We do not have a shelter. We are at various special events around the valley. Please see our Upcoming Events section on our website for further information. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to some of our wonderful animals.
Fill out an online application, have an interview with a Matchmaker, if we are in philosophical alignment, set up a meet and greet and if all goes well finalize the adoption. Our service fee for dogs is $150 and $125 for cats. All our dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
