My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Ebony! She is about 5-6 months old and 33 pounds as of December 1st 2012. Although her breed is not for certain and a total guess, one thing for sure is that she is cute! cute! cute, and a total sweetheart! She is very loving and not a barker. Friendly and happy. Great disposition. When a mom pooch gives birth to puppies, the puppies can be born looking very different as there could have been several fathers, thus the reason the pups have different breed designations.

Ebony, is a very gentle, quiet soul, relaxed, and laid back. She is sweet, and just loves everyone. She is fabulous with other dogs and loves children, but we don't know about kitties. She does well riding in the car and is fabuous walking on a leash. She is a fabulous pooch and will make a great companion for any family. Ebony is being fostered in a home in Oswego while her siblings, Maggie and Beau, are both being fostered at Central Bark Doggy Daycare in Oswego / An application is required prior to visiting with her. The on-line application can be found at www.angelsonwheels.org.

Ebony was rescued with her sister (Maggie) and her brother (Beau) from a high kill shelter in Southern Illinois. Looking at her adorable face and seeing her personality, it's hard to imagine how such a wonderful dog could end up alone and unwanted on death row. Lucky for her, we saw her face, knew her loving potential and saved her so she could meet a wonderful family deserving of her love. She would be the perfect pet to add to any family.

Do you think that Ebony would be a good match for your family? If you'd like to meet her, please go to www.angelsonwheels.org to complete the on-line adoption application located under the "adoptions" tab. If your application is approved, you would then be directed to schedule an appointment withe the foster mom in Oswego. All members of the family must be present in order to adopt. Please be patient with the process. Angels On Wheels Animal rescue is an all volunteer rescue with jobs and families trying to save some lives. It can take a few days to process applications.

The adoption fee of $250 includes the spaying which is now done, microchipped, Rabies Vaccinated, Bordetella Vaccination, up to date on routine vaccinations for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur, treated with Revolution or Front-Line Plus, along with any other medical needed. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Wheaton Animal Hospital, or Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.
