Jazzie's Story...
Meet Jazzie…. Jazzie is an 18 month old German Shepherd. She may be pure bred, certainly looks it, but is small at about 49 pounds right now. When picked up as a stray she was a very sick girl. Now she is starting to gain weight and is doing very well.
Jazzie is very friendly to both people and other dogs but thinks that cats are for chasing and so should not be in a home with them. She is also energetic and needs an owner who will walk or run her every day and who has an active lifestyle. She would enjoy a dog park or maybe even agility. This is a smart, wonderful dog so if you are interested in adopting or maybe even fostering her please email her current foster mom at fudgiesmom2@aol.com or fill out an application on our website forgottendogs.org. Be sure to specify that you are looking for Jazzie!!! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jazzie, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
