Other Pets at Shelter...
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Gray, Blue Or Silver Tabby||Age:||Adult|
Tiger and his litter mate, Leo, both declawed, need immediate adoption. They are in a shelter but need to find a home soon so they will not be put down because of their age. Although 14, these kitties are very healthy and have recently been checked by a vet. both kitties are unusally friendly and warm up to strangers very quickly. They are loving and lovable boys and only want to live our their lives...and they have lots of life left...in a warm and caring home. They have excellent litter box habits and appreciate a clean litter box. They enjoy playing and their favorite game is chasing a string. Please consider either fostering or giving these kitties a permanet home. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone
Rescue Group Info...
Our organization was started because our local animal shelter does not have space for abandoned and/or lost pets. Laguna Woods is a retirement community and our residents often end up going to assisted living or passing away, and kitties are left homeless. There was a real need for someone to step up and fill this need, so we established a network of foster homes and a website and a petfinder site to advertise our kitties needing homes. We provide an initial vet exam immediately and pay for services including medical care, shots, spay and neuter, etc.
Donations are accepted for both relinquished cats and adopted cats. No specific amount is required.
We have boutiques twice a year, in late fall and early spring, to raise funds for our pets. We sometimes have some of our animals at those events. We also have posters with our kitties displayed around our community and we have both our www.lagunawoodscatclub.com site as well as our petfinder site with photos, discriptions and contact info.
We ask for an adoption donation of at least $50. but will waive it for adopters that appear to be excellent potential pet parents.
We have a two page information form and do a preliminary home visit. Our adopters must promise to keep the kitty as an indoor only pet and must agree to return the kitty to our organization if they can no longer care for it.
We serve an area extending from Los Angeles to San Diego, California... an area of about 200 miles. Most of our adoptions take place in Irvine, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.
