Tony's Story...
Tony is a tall, dark and handsome four-year-old Great Dane who came into rescue with his brother Vinnie. Despite his very serious cropped ears, Tony is sweet, goofy, laid-back and completely Velcro. Tony has yet to meet a person he doesn't like, he lives with other dogs now and he's even met cats and seems to be just fine with them also. If you're looking for a gentle giant who enjoys walks and loves to cuddle, Tony might be just what you're looking for.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tony, a Fort Collins Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Fort Collins, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Fort Collins.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Collins already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Collins breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Collins paves the way for another one to be saved.
