LIBBY: I have this very cute baby face, but I am 3 years old. I am a Broxie, a dachshund/Brussels griffon mix. They tell me what a sweetheart I am all the time. I am gentle, sweet, and I love, love people. I love to be held and snuggle any time.
I was rescued from a puppy mill auction in Nebraska. I absolutely love to be around people and have gotten very attached to my foster mom. I get along well with the other dogs and cats where I live. I am still working on my potty training, but I am picking it up now. My old home did not provide a life for potty training, I just do not know any better; no one taught me. All I ever knew was a kennel, which I now hate and refuse to stay in, freedom is wonderful. I will tolerate an x-pen, though. I am very smart. I am beginning to use a doggy door. I am still insecure with some things and like my foster to be with me when she is around. I really need a home where someone is home a lot. Feeling safe and secure and a home willing to continue with my training will be important for me . I want just be loved and snuggle with you. I am told that I am making very fast progress.
In a few short weeks I have learned to run, play and interact with other dogs. I would do well with another small to medium dog for a playmate.
I am a very good watch dog. I am aware of everything that goes on and will give a woof if I think you need to be alerted.
I have been spayed, had a dental, a hernia fixed, and heartworm negative. I have all current vaccinations and microchipped.
A visitation at my foster home needs to be arranged to come and visit us. Fill out a pre-adoption application found on our website at www.pureheartsrescue.org , click on applications. Next email it to: rescue@pureheartsrescue.org for approval or call 970-590-3708 for more information. After approval a home visitation will be scheduled. After rescue approval, and you love me and I love you, an adoption contract is filled out and signed. I have a $ 220.00 adoption fee.
