Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Elle is a Terrier mix born in August 2012 (approximately). She is all black with a thin white stripe down her muzzle and a white chest and toes. She will end up being a nice sized medium dog.
Elle is living in a foster home where she's socializing with people and other animals, and she's also practicing good doggy behaviors. She listens well to the dominant female and gets along wonderfully with all of the dogs. Elle is a little shy at first, but give her a few moments and she will be snuggling in your nap. She is doing great with her potty and crate training. Elle is very quiet and is learning how to play. She has learned sit and will be easily trained. Elle is a great joy to have around and will make someone a wonderful family pet.
****Her adoption fee is $295.****
The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues—and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.
All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws.
Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $25 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.
The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
