I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Bella is a spayed female Chihuahua/Boston Terrier mix, DOB July, 2011.
When Bella first came to me she was so scared. It took me two weeks before Bella would allow me to handle her. If she could talk, I think what Bella would say “Her life until this point hadn’t been very good”.
Her coat was dry, brittle and lacked luster. Bella had great hair loss due to a heavy flea infestation, she was thin. Afraid of everything, me, the other animals.
Now Bella is a changed girl!
As I watch this once fearful dog, a now healthy 26 lbs., her coat shiny, soft. Racing through the yard romping, wrestling, playing chase with the other dogs, a ‘Happy Go Lucky’ gal.
At night Bella snuggles tight to me, she loves to be cuddled, told how beautiful she is and showers me with kisses.
Bella loves life now, enthusiastic to meet new people, wonderful with kitties, terrific with other dogs.
Bella’s Christmas Wish is to find her perfect forever home, one with another playful dog, a fenced yard to keep her safe, and to be cherished.

Last Chance Rescue was formed in 1997 in order to save animals that would have otherwise been destroyed at area shelters. Giving them a chance at a loving home. We are a very diversified group, saving over 27 thousand animals from kill lists and research selling lists. We provide medical, food, shelter and a loving home until a new family is found. We are a true "No Kill" shelter, while protecting the welfare of the general public.
We are volunteers and many of our animals are in foster care.

Dogs and cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart in Brighton on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 pm.
Some cats stay at the Luv-A-Pet center located in PetSmart in Brighton and can be seen during regular business hours.
All our pets have a number listed for more information. Arrangements can be made to meet that pet by calling that number.
Everyone must fill out a pre-adopt which will be reviewed at the time of the adoption.
If a puppy is not spayed or neutered, there is a contract to be signed stating that the puppy will be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. All adult dogs, cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We always take our animals back no matter how long ago they were adopted. A contract is signed stating that the animal must be returned to us.
