Nike's Story...
"NIke" -- what a great name! (It's a lot better than "Stray"). I feel like running and jumping and doing all kinds of athletic stunts. But I can't because I'm living in a kennel and don't have a lot of room right now. But that can change any minute I'm told, because somebody out there is looking for a fine young cat like me, and it very well could be you. I'm good with kids and dogs and other cats which means I'd fit right into a busy home. I just need a little help getting a home. By the way, when I'm not working out I love to cuddle and purr. And I have a really cool white spot on my chest -- very manly, if I do say so myself. Call me -- I'm yours!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nike, a Walnut Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Walnut, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Walnut.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut paves the way for another one to be saved.
