Gigi's Story...
"Hi there everyone...if you are looking for one of smallest Chihuahua ladies in the whole, wide world, then look no further than my kennel. My name is GIGI, and I'm absolutely precious and oh-so-cute. I'm just two years old. I'm kind of on the shy side, but once I get to know you, I will love you forever. Being so small, you know that I would not take up very much room in the house. I'd just need some room on your lap! Being so small and rather sensitive, I'd need to be in an adult home. A trip to our shelter would not be complete until we have met each other. So come and hold me in your arms and close to your heart, and I think we just might fall in love with each other. Please come and meet one of the cutest dogs that you will ever see. We've got great exercise yards; the perfect place for us to get acquainted. You can bet that I'll be watching and waiting and also listening for the sound of your footsteps as you get close to my kennel. About Our Shelter...
We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.

We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.

We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.

We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
