Hi...My name is "Silver"! and.. My brother's name is "Silas"!
Note: The first photo is me "Silver", and the second photo is my brother "Silas" - don't we look a lot alike!
We are brothers and we are looking for a home to call our own (either together or apart)
Here is Our Story:
We are only 8 months old and so far, the past 6 months since we were taken from our Mommy has been terrible! We have some scars on our legs from our survival struggles, but we are still beautiful we think! We have pretty semi-long fur (no fluff, no undercoat) , and curly tails!
For 2 young boys we sure have gone through a lot so far in our young lives. You would not even believe it if we told you.. but to top it off we ended up in the worst prison and we did not even know why! We were already in the "Pre -Euthanasia" room, when someone came in and said 'the Internet', had found us a rescue in the Bay Area ... and first we'd go get "fixed', and then go for a long drive with a huge bunch of us Death Row inmates, to a place of culture and sophistication, where all puppies are in heaven while they are still alive!
So here we are now.. "fixed"', vaccinated, and young and ready to roll! We are still kind of in jail but it just FEELS much better here!
The rescue that saved us is now saddled up with the 2 of us rambunctious, jumpy young boys, along with a bunch more saved dogs of all sorts and sizes...Now sadly they say they can not pull out any more Death Row dogs if we cannot, please, be your house guests at least for a little while. We don't mind at all if we must be separated, if it is a bit much to take us both together.
We LOVE to play and tumble around in the most comical of ways. Right now we are only about 40 lbs.We come with our own crates that we don't mind hanging out in, if you are not sure if your own pet-children will like us.. as long as we get walks, and lots of cuddles!!
They say we have been on very good behavior as far as our "housetraining". We also heard that humans will be able to teach us how to trot right next to them in a cute no-pull harness and behave in "society".. - whatever THAT is!
Our rescuers said they expect we won't become bigger than approx 50 lbs. No one seems to have any real idea what we are - we have the build/fur/size like a Basenji or Shiba Inu.. but then.. our tongues are as blue as can be!
We have the black muzzle of a shepherd.. but we also have those bulldoggy jowels.. so yes, we are PURE MUTTS!
The veterinarian looooved us and gave us a clean bill of health!
We would really like to be in a home for the holidays. So if you still need to get your 2012 good deed on your record, and would like an entertaining little guy around for your holiday cheer, please think of each of us... that would free up our bunk beds here for the next batch of Death Row inmates that need saving.. and soon to come.
WE REALLY REALLY DON'T MIND GOING TO SEPARATE FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOMES...WE ARE JUST NOT THE SENTIMENTAL TYPE.. IN FACT WE WOULD BECOME MORE ATTUNED TO OUR HUMAN GUARDIAN THAT WAY, AND WE'D GET ALL THE ATTENTION TO OURSELVES! :)
