Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy has a beautiful chocolate brown and white coat. With her gorgeous eyes, she caught the attention of the shelter staff immediately. An adopter showed up quickly to rescue her...but when tested, she was heartworm positive. Two year old Lucy had not been kept on heartworm prevention and in Alabama, that can be a very poor decision. Thanks to a FOR volunteer, Lucy is enjoying life in a foster home now and is receiving treatment for heartworm disease. She'll be good as new! She's a fabulous little dog, at only 8.6 pounds. She's estimated to be 2 years old and is SO easy to share a home with. Her buddy in her foster home is a Jack Russell Terrier and she enjoys playing around in the back yard. She's 100% house trained and doesn't need to be let out incredibly often. She also can do her business while on leash. She enjoys visitors but doesn't bark - a nice combination. She's easy to have around children and enjoys playing with her rope toy :). She's fine in the bath and isn't bothered by storms -- so water isn't a problem for Lucy! She's a special girl who needed help to get out of the shelter safely -- FOR is very happy to help her.
