Luna's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Luna's Story...
Luna is a 1 1/2 year-old blue merle/mantle Great Dane. She was purchased from the Littlehorse Great Dane breeder is San Antonio and ended up in a home in Dallas. Unfortunately Luna's family decided to get rid of her and they took her to their vet to be put down. Luckily the vet refused to euthanize this sweet dog. The breeder was contacted, but she was not very concerned about Luna's well being and she did not make an attempt to get her back, even though on their website it says that they will take back dogs that they bred. So much for this breeder. So Luna was brought in to our rescue.

It was unfortunate for Luna that she ended up with a bad family, but now that she is with us, we will make sure she goes to a family who will love her and take care of her for the rest of her life.

Luna is a very sweet girl. She is a bit shy when she meets new people, and that is because she was handled roughly by her previous owner. Once she gets comfortable, she is very loving and playful. She is good around kids, great with other dogs and even with cats.

If you would like to give Luna a good loving home, please fill out the adoption application on our website. The application will help up decide is you will be a good home for Luna and if Luna will be a good match for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luna, a Austin Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Austin, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
