Loki's Story...
My name is Loki and I am a delightful 18 month old fellow who appreciates what rescue is really all about. You see I was abandoned by my previous family -- they just left me alone to fend for myself. And life on the street can be very scary -- you never feel safe or know where you next meal is coming from. That experience has left me a bit distrustful but now thay I am here at WHCP I am learning to trust again. I am looking for a kind hearted person who is willing to provide me with a nice quiet home and allow me the time I need to make myself comfortable. But once we become pals I will insist on petting sessions and belly rubs!!! I have had all my medical completed and have so much love to offer. I tend to be overlooked at the shelter in favor of the more boisterous cats but please give me a chance -- it will warm both your heart and mine!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Westfield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
