Smiley's Story...
Meet White Paw! So named because he is all black with one white paw. His mother was rescued from the streets when pregnant, and little White Paw was born April 3rd, 2012. He has a great personality: adorable, loyal, smart, likes cats, sweet, wants to be around others, total Companion dog! He's a very friendly and very attentive fella. White Paw would make a very nice family dog, especially with a female companion of similar size or a cat playmate. He likes to get exercise, but would rather be indoors by your side. White Paw is current on vaccinations, house trained, and has been neutered. Please contact Nadia at njubran@marthaturner.com if interested in Smiley. Thanks!

About Our Rescue Group...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project about a year ago to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 250 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee ranges from $100 to $150. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Houston and surrounding areas.
