Chloe's Story...
So I just saw this great movie, it’s called Brave. Have you heard of it? Well oh-my-dog, how cool would it be to be brave! I mean, I didn’t even know the word existed until I saw the movie. So I’ve decided my new goal in life is to be brave. Not bold, just brave. A little self-confidence would do me good, and if I find a family of my own I know their love and guidance will help me blossom into the confident girl I am destined to be. Other dogs and I get along great, but I am bit unsure around new people. So I ask that you be patient, and take things slow. Once we get to know each other I’ll be like butter on bread, chips & salsa, peanut butter and jelly….you get my drift, I’ll stick to you like glue. I am a real quick learn, smart and trainable just like my GSD heritage should be. I am already crate trained and doing pretty well with my leash manners, but I am sure there are lots of other things you can teach me too. I’ll be the star of Brave II in no time… 2 ½ years old-75lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Portland German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
